The CUSB campus is 300 acres big and hosts all the important university buildings. The Central Universities Act, 2009 (Section 25 of 2009) established it as the Central University of Bihar (CUB), and then the Central Universities (Amendment) Act, 2014 altered its name to Central University of South Bihar (CUSB).The CUSB Gaya is recognised by UGC.
